This page describes how the products listed on hkjsm.com — the iOS app ProEnglish, the Windows utility Share Printer, and the web service epub2email — handle your data. The short version: we collect as little as possible, run no analytics, and have no advertising.

ProEnglish (iOS)

ProEnglish stores all data — articles, vocabulary, flashcards, reading history, statistics, and settings — locally on your device using SwiftData. The app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.

• When you import an OPML file containing RSS feed URLs, the app downloads articles directly from the feed publishers you have chosen. Those requests go from your device to the feed publishers; we do not see, route, or log them.
• Translation of paragraphs and word lookups use Apple's on-device Translation and NaturalLanguage frameworks. They run on your device; we operate no translation servers.
• The app contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no remote configuration, and no crash reporting beyond what Apple provides system-wide (which you can disable in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements).
• Daily reminder notifications, if you enable them, are scheduled locally on your device and never reach our servers (we have none).
• If you delete the app, all of your data is removed with it. There is no backup we keep on your behalf.

Data collected: none. Data linked to you: none. Tracking: none.

Share Printer (Windows)

Share Printer runs locally on your Windows PC and exposes a print server on your home or office network. Documents you submit from a phone, tablet, or other device are processed in memory and forwarded to your local printer. Nothing is sent to our servers (we have none). Your network traffic does not leave your network.

epub2email (web)

epub2email accepts EPUB uploads and emails you one chapter per day. To provide the service, we store:

• The EPUB file you upload.
• The email address you provide.
• A delivery schedule and the index of the next chapter to send.

We use this data only to deliver the chapters you asked for. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for any other purpose. You may request deletion of your file and email address at any time via the contact email below; we will honor the request within 30 days.

This website (hkjsm.com)

This site is fully static. We do not set cookies, do not run analytics, do not load third-party scripts, and do not track visitors. Standard web server access logs may be kept by our hosting provider for routine operational reasons; we do not analyze them.

Children

None of these products are directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, what data we hold about you and request its deletion. For ProEnglish and Share Printer, the answer is: we hold none. For epub2email, see the section above.
